At Mariposa Care, we prioritise your health and wellbeing, which is why we offer access to WPA, a not-for-profit health insurance company. With WPA, you can claim back costs on everyday healthcare expenses, helping to ease the financial burden of medical treatments.
Employees can claim reimbursements on a wide range of treatments, including dental care, optical expenses, therapy sessions, hospital stays, specialist consultations, GP charges and even NHS car parking costs.

In addition to mandatory training, we offer a wide range of additional courses and professional development opportunities, helping you gain new qualifications and enhance your progression. We are proud of our strong track record in developing talent within our teams and promoting from within.
All new starters benefit from a 12-week induction programme, designed to ensure you feel confident and fully prepared in your role from day one.

Teamwork & Support
At Mariposa Care, you’ll be part of a strong, supportive team that values collaboration and sharing ideas. In addition to your colleagues within your care home, you will also receive support from our regional operational management team and central support teams, including HR, finance, marketing, IT and estates.
You’ll also have your opportunity to have your say in our regular surveys and Team Committee meetings held throughout the year. The meetings are open to all Mariposa Care team members.

Free Meals, Fresh Fruit and Uniform
All Mariposa team members are entitled to a free meal prepared by our talented chefs within the home. If you would like to eat with our residents and enjoy the delicious meals we have on offer each day - simply let your manager know ahead of time and get their approval.
You’ll also have access to free tea and coffee, and you can help yourself to a selection of seasonal fresh fruit which we make available for everyone to enjoy.
It’s important for you to feel comfortable at work so, depending on your role, we’ll provide you with free uniform.

Your dedication and commitment deserve to be celebrated! Our Recognition of Service Policy rewards team members with financial bonuses at key milestones:

- 2 years – £300
- 3 years – £400
- 5 years – £500
- 10 years – £750
- 15 years – £900
- 20 years – £2,000
- 25 years – £2,250
- 30 years – £3,000

Free DBS Checks
We know that starting a new job comes with plenty of things to think about, so we want to make the process as smooth as possible for you. That’s why we cover the cost of your DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check when you receive a conditional offer of employment with us.
We believe in investing in our people from day one and ensuring you can join our team without any upfront costs is just one way we show our support. Plus, when it comes to your mandatory 3-yearly DBS re-checks, we’ll take care of those too, completely free of charge.
We also cover the costs for PIN revalidation.
